1. About Us
Local Plumbers operates an online platform connecting homeowners with vetted, Gas Safe registered plumbing and heating engineers across England. We act as an introducer and platform operator; individual Partner plumbers are independent contractors responsible for the work they carry out.
2. Website Use
By accessing our website you agree that:
- You will use the website only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms
- You will not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website or its systems
- You will not submit false, misleading or fraudulent enquiries
- You will not use the website to send spam or unsolicited communications
- You are at least 18 years of age or have the consent of a parent or guardian
3. Enquiries and Quotes
When you submit an enquiry through our website:
- We will forward your details to the appropriate Partner plumber covering your county
- The Partner plumber will contact you directly to arrange a survey or provide a quote
- Quotes provided are estimates only until a site visit has been carried out
- We cannot guarantee response times, although our Partners aim to respond within two hours during normal hours
4. The Work Itself
All plumbing and heating work is carried out by our independent Partner plumbers. You should be aware that:
- The contract for services is between you and the individual Partner plumber, not Local Plumbers
- All Partners are verified as Gas Safe registered before joining our platform; however, you should always ask to see their Gas Safe ID card before work begins
- Partners are responsible for the quality of their work and must hold appropriate public liability insurance
- Any disputes about the quality or completion of work must be raised with the Partner plumber directly in the first instance
5. Payments
Payments for plumbing services are made directly to the Partner plumber. Local Plumbers does not collect payment on behalf of Partners. Monthly subscription fees for the Partner programme are processed by Stripe on behalf of Local Plumbers.
6. Our Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Subject to the above, Local Plumbers shall not be liable for:
- Any loss or damage arising from the acts or omissions of Partner plumbers
- Any indirect, consequential or economic losses arising from use of the website or platform
- Loss or damage caused by events outside our reasonable control
- Interruptions to or unavailability of the website
7. Intellectual Property
All content on the Local Plumbers website, including text, images, graphics, logos and software, is owned by or licensed to Local Plumbers . You may not reproduce, distribute or create derivative works from our content without our prior written consent.
8. Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices or availability of those websites and their inclusion does not constitute endorsement.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of our services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on our website and, where the changes are significant, notify registered Partners by email. Continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
