Why Choose a Professional Bathroom Fitter?
A bathroom renovation involves plumbing, waterproofing, tiling and joinery, disciplines that must work together seamlessly. A professional fitter coordinates all of this, ensuring work is carried out in the correct order, to building regulations, and with the right materials. DIY bathroom installations are one of the most common sources of home insurance claims due to failed waterproofing and incorrectly fitted waste connections.
Wet Rooms vs. Traditional Bathrooms
Wet rooms have become increasingly popular, particularly for smaller bathrooms where a shower tray and enclosure would take up too much floor space. A wet room uses a continuous waterproof membrane across the floor and walls with a linear drain. They look striking and are easy to clean, but require a higher level of waterproofing expertise. Our fitters are experienced in both approaches and can advise on which suits your space and budget.
How Long Does a Bathroom Renovation Take?
A standard bathroom replacement typically takes four to seven working days. A wet room or a bathroom requiring structural work may take longer. We provide a realistic timeline at the quotation stage and aim to keep a functional toilet and shower available to you at the end of each working day wherever possible.
Bathroom Installation FAQs
Can you supply the bathroom suite and tiles, or do I buy them?
Either works for us. We can supply everything through our trade accounts, often at better prices than retail, or fit materials you have already purchased. Many customers choose a hybrid approach.
Will you protect the rest of my house during the work?
Yes. We use dust sheets, floor protection and sealed dust barriers where necessary. At the end of each day we leave the working area clean and safe.
Do I need planning permission for a new bathroom?
In most cases, no. Bathroom replacement falls under permitted development. However, if you are adding a bathroom to a new room or converting a space, building regulations notification may be required. We can advise during consultation.
How much does a new bathroom cost?
This varies significantly depending on the size of the room, the quality of the suite and tiles, and the complexity of the plumbing. We provide detailed fixed-price quotes so you know exactly what you are paying before we start. Contact us for a free no-obligation consultation.
