What to Do While You Wait for an Emergency Plumber
As soon as you suspect a burst pipe or serious leak, locate your stopcock and turn off the water supply. In most homes the stopcock is under the kitchen sink or near the front door. Turn it clockwise to shut off the water. If you cannot find it, call us and we will talk you through it while the engineer is on the way.
For a gas leak, do not touch any switches. Open windows, leave the property and call the National Gas Emergency line on 0800 111 999, then call us. All our engineers are Gas Safe registered and can assist once the area is safe.
